But wait! There's more!

At the end of NEXT36, Scott, Kai, and I decided to conclude work on Promptly, and choose new paths for ourselves going forward. A variety of personal and professional reasons led us to part ways, but ultimately, it came down to differences in our life stages, unique situations, commitment levels, and working styles.

Over the span of eight months, we learned a ton from founding Promptly, working in the AI space, and building a start-up.

In September, confident in the tech we built, we began exploratory conversations to find a new home for Promptly. This led us to a handful of discussions with different companies who were direct competitors in the space, or others looking to explore AI-powered interviews as part of their roadmaps.

Today, I am excited to announce Promptly has been acquired by Outset.ai YC23, a direct competitor and a leading company in the AI-Moderated Research space. We’ve been enjoying collaborating with the team at Outset.ai to integrate our learnings into their platform. We’re super excited our tech and insights will continue to be used to help businesses make faster, smarter, and user-guided decisions.

On a more personal note, since the summer, the three of us had many more adventures to finish the year, and are excited for what 2024 has to offer. 2023 was certainly a whirlwind, but we’re happy to have added an epilogue to this chapter of our entrepreneurial journeys!
